Melbourne in September used to mean one thing; footy. Now, it has a second meaning as well, Trenchless Technology. Building on the success of Trenchless Australasia 2008, the next great event has been planned for Grand Final week, September 20-22 in Melbourne in 2009. Not only that, the event will take place at Melbourne Park, only metres away from the hallowed turf of the MCG.
A number of AFL-themed functions are being organised, as well as another boat cruise which makes the most of some of Melbourne’s other key features.
Major international key-note speakers are being invited and more details are expected to be available soon. The 2008 event showed how the industry has matured, and demonstrated the increasing interest in the Australasian trenchless industry from utilities and asset owners across the board. It also made clear the increasing international interest in Australia and New Zealand and the 2009 event will build on this. The event will recapture the positive and social atmosphere that so many delegates commented on in 2008. Registration is expected to open closer to the date.
