The Protective Liner System‘s PerpetuWall, a cured-in-place fibreglass and epoxy composite system, combines the strength of concrete and the chemical resistance of coatings without their short comings. Coating systems, even those marketed as structural, rely on the surface they are applied on to provide support to prevent their failure.
Supplier Australian Drain and Pipe Repairs (ADPR) said that cementitious materials lack the chemical resistance, regardless of type and additives, to survive when exposed to high levels of hydrogen sulphide. Much like most coatings, cementitious is brittle and lacks tensile strength. PerpetuWall addresses all of these short comings and offers a complete and proven rehabilitation system.
PerpetuWall has been in use in the United States of America for over 20 years with extensive success. It is this track record that made the product attractive to ADPR when looking for new products to bring into Australia.
The system is also simple to install giving ADPR an advantage when it comes to value. ADPR has already setup a few projects and has found owners very receptive to the technology.
ADPR is a certified applicator of protective liner systems (PLS) products and are bringing the entire product line to Australia. With PLS’ cementitious materials, epoxy coatings, and PerpetuWall System, ADPR is now set to offer an entire range of rehabilitation products for access chambers and similar structures.
ADPR hopes to give system owners more choice and value when working to rehabilitate their sewer structures.
