In order to obtain Certificate III in Civil Construction, 20 core competency units from the Civil Construction training package and six elective competency units must be achieved. Of the six electives, a minimum of four are to be at the AQF3 level and at least three must be AQF Trenchless Technology units (listed below). Additional elective units may be undertaken if the business requires this.

The ten Trenchless Technology electives are:

New Installations

BCCTT3001B – Conduct fluid assisted directional boring
BCCTT3002B – Conduct impact moling, ramming and augering
BCCTT3003B – Control microtunnelling and pipejacking
BCCTT3004B – Undertake on-line replacement for existing pipeline systems
BCCTT3005B – Undertake localised repair and sealing of existing pipeline systems

Rehabilitation

BCCTT3006B – Install cure in-place linings for existing pipeline systems
BCCTT3007B – Spray lining for existing pipeline systems
BCCTT3008B – Install close fit linings for existing pipeline systems
BCCTT3009B – Install slip lining in existing pipeline systems
BCCTT3010B – Renovate large diameter pipes and chambers

Training can only be undertaken through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accredited to deliver these packages. To assist in determining who to contact in each state, the following list of accredited RTOs and their contact details has been compiled.
