Projects have included installation of the 508 mm steel gas transmission pipe on the Brooklyn to Lara Pipeline, with a number of HDD bores in predominately tough rock ground conditions.

Recently completed was the installation of conduits under existing railway tracks at over 120 suburban and country stations for a new fast ticketing system in Melbourne. BTB’s civil crew also played a major part on this project, installing pits, conduit works at platform locations and optical fibre installations.

BTB was also the major HDD contractor on the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline for Nacap Australia, installing various diameter pipelines from 40 mm to 420 mm on hundreds of road, rail and highway crossings throughout country Victoria. BTB civil crews also assisted in valve installations and other pipeworks on this project.

BTB are also involved in some sewer projects in Mernda, installing sewer pipes to grade over large distances in extreme rock conditions.

Sewer projects were also completed in Mernda for Tenix and Yarra Valley Water, crossing the Plenty Gorge on a number of occasions to install sewer larger diameter transfer mains.

BTB has also completed work in the township of Flinders for ‘us’ – Utility Services, installing pressure sewer system conduits, using Trenchless Technology very successfully and to the satisfaction of clients and residents.

Other major trenchless installations have included work on the East Link Project, major conduit installations for telecommunications carriers, works at major airports in Melbourne installing pits and conduits for lighting upgrades and many other specialist projects throughout Australia.

These projects demonstrate BTB Australia’s specialist HDD and civil skills, utilising BTB’s diverse HDD equipment range for all ground conditions.
