The $A350,000 contract involves the refurbishment of approximately 2.3 kilometres of reticulation sewer pipes. Vortex will reline the sewers with Saertex multiCom fibreglass and resin liner, using UV light curing technology.

Vortex Managing Director Trevor Gosatti said “The company is very pleased to be awarded this contract as we see it as a strategic move to form a stronger commercial relationship with the Water Corporation of WA, who is the main asset owner of sewer and water networks in Western Australia.” In addition, Vortex has been granted its second generation patent application in Australia for its ShieldLiner technology.

Mr Gosatti said the granting of this permit is further positive recognition of the company’s development of its pipe relining technology to date.
