The booth was manned by Jeff Pace and Chris Bland, who used the opportunity to promote the ASTT as well as the upcoming International No-Dig in 2006, which is being held in the same venue. The stand was visited by a variety of people, some of whom were very familiar with Trenchless Technology already, and others who knew little but were keen to learn.
The show took place from May 8-11 and proved to be a worthwhile gathering for all those in the water industry. The ASTT booth received a lot of enquiries about potential Trenchless Technology contractors and suppliers and these people were directed to the ASTT’s online membership directory and also this magazine. Over all, more than 200 copies of Trenchless Australasia were handed out to interested parties.
A number of other exhibitors also had an interest in Trenchless Technology. TT Asia Pacific had a stand and used the occasion to promote their Grundomat technology to both local and overseas visitors. See page 44 for the latest news from TT Asia Pacific. ‘us’ Utility Services, and alliance of South East Water, Thiess Services and Siemens, also used the conference to launch their new name and display a variety of equipment and services. See pages 15 and 43 for more information on ‘us’.
