The Metrotech 9800 series pipe and cable locators are ideal for contractors to find multiple services. They can be used without a transmitter to find services such as buried power and telecommunications cable in a “blind search” in the 50 Hz and radio modes. The range of models also features two or three active frequencies, which gives the operator more options when locating a dedicated line. As an option the locators can also be used to locate sheath or core to earth faults on buried cable. All information is displayed on a crisp back-lit white screen for ease of use day or night.
