M-I SWACO’s range of drilling fluids has been proven to reduce drilling costs, improve production rates and minimise environmental impact in countless mining operations around the globe. ADG are the Australia distributors of Universal HDD drilling. Universal HDD consists of a range of US-manufactured custom horizontal directional drills and HDD equipment. They offer short range, mid range and long range drilling rigs to suit all applications.

M-I SWACO provides a number of bentonite and polymer products specifically designed for HDD applications. These products stabilise the bore by improving the filtration control in porous zones, improve suspension of the drilling fluid to maximise hole cleaning, provide lubrication, and aid in inhibiting troublesome clay zones. M-I SWACO environmental solutions and solids control equipment process drill hole cuttings, significantly reducing waste, increasing operational efficiency and are customisable to meet local compliance and environmental regulatory guidelines

The ADG Global exhibit will include the Mongoose variable motion shaker on display and will be conducting several demonstrations. The ground-breaking design of the Mongoose shaker allows operators to use linear motion while drilling top-hole sections where heavy, high-volume solids such as gumbo are usually encountered. In these intervals, shakers need to generate high G-forces to effectively move dense solids across the screens. But as conditions change, the Mongoose shaker can be adjusted ‘on-the-fly’. With the flip of a switch on the control box, motion is reconfigured from linear to balanced elliptical without shutting down the shaker. Operating in the gentler balanced elliptical mode, solids encounter reduced G-forces and longer screen residence time. This results in drier solids, improved drilling fluid recovery, longer screen life and reduced operating costs.
