Kembla Watertech

Kembla Watertech will be showcasing a range of trenchless technologies for both sewer and water main rehabilitation. Kembla plans to demonstrate the M Coating system and show how it is capable of cleaning and then coating manholes without the need for man-entry into the manhole.

For sewer or gravity main application:

  • Ex method (‘fold and form’) PVC pipe lining: this system involves the expansion of a continuous coil of specially formulated PVC pipe to form a tight-fitting liner within the existing host pipe.
  • Enviroliner CIPP system: renovation of pipelines using resin impregnated felt tubes which are cured in place to form a structural pipe within the pipe (CIPP).
  • Kembla SWP DiaFit: a spiral wound pipe (SWP) is installed from manhole access to be a close fit to the existing pipe diameter (DiaFit).
  • FexiLiner: a small bore lining system capable of lining house service lines down to 100 mm diameter including 90 degree bends.
  • Tiger T: a resin impregnated T section for structural repair and sealing of pipe connections.
  • Tiger Patch: a fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) patch is remotely positioned to structurally repair localised pipe defects.
  • M Coating: manhole cleaning and coating system.
  • Sewer pipe cracking: pipe cracking employs a high powered hydraulic static force head to crack through existing pipes while pulling into place behind it a new pipe, usually polyethylene.

For water mains applications:

  • AMEX Seals: Internal joint sealing system used for over 25 years for the sealing of leaks in pressure pipes. AMEX seals require man entry and are ideal for sealing leaking joints in pressure pipelines.
  • Kembla is also involved in pipe bursting, pressure relief vavle and flow meter construction, as well as spray lining.

Kembla has developed many of these trenchless technologies specifically to suit the Australian market and the company’s portfolio of systems enables them to offer the most cost-effective option to suit each particular job situation. The service offered reflects Kembla’s 17 years of experience as a specialist pipeline rehabilitation contractor.
