This year, Vermeer is the Gold Sponsor of No-Dig Down Under, following on from its Platinum sponsorship of Trenchless Live 2010.
As part of this sponsorship, Vermeer is the individual sponsor for the Aloha Brisbane! river cruise, which is taking place on Tuesday evening 4 October, after the first day of the conference program and exhibition.
The company will have a strong presence across the event, particularly in the Exhibition Hall, where it will have one of the largest exhibition spaces at the event. Here, some of the latest equipment will be on show, and a multitude of sales and service staff from Vermeer Australia will be on hand to answer all of your HDD rig questions.
Vermeer will also be well-represented in the conference program. Jim Rankin, Global Segment Manager, will present his paper titled ‘The impact of drill rod specifications on the capabilities of an HDD rig’ during the Underground Solutions stream for the conference.

Mr Rankin, who has been with Vermeer for 34 years, has a vast knowledge of industrial equipment and was the project leader in developing Vermeer’s first commercially marketed drill. His innovative thinking has earned Mr Rankin the right to 14 patents.
Segment Business Manager John Milligan will also speak at the event, presenting a case study on the AXIS guided boring system; as will National Operations Manager Simon Coles, who is participating in the Installation Super Panel – one of the most popular features of the technical program.
One of the largest HDD equipment suppliers in the Australasian region, the team from Vermeer look forward to catching up with their clients and discussing the latest innovations in HDD at No-Dig Down Under 2011.
