Over the last decade Worldpoly has developed and manufactured a complete range of butt fusion equipment, with extensive sales in Australia and exporting to more than 30 countries worldwide.

The father of company CEO Rob Hall was the first person in the Southern Hemisphere to extrude polyethylene pipe in 1965. Rob has continued from where his father left off, establishing local manufacturing operations with Von Roll AG (Switzerland) and Wavin Overseas BV (Netherlands), manufacturing fittings and other polyethylene related equipment, and now as the owner of Melbourne-based Worldpoly.

Worldpoly supplies companies around the world, from Germany and Australia to India and Indonesia. “We have succeeded in internationalising our business and in expanding our market, not only in our region, but anywhere polyethylene pipe is in use. The increasing popularity of HDPE pipe in mining, gas, water, sewerage and related pressure and non-pressure applications around the world is a fantastic opportunity for us,” says Rob.

“With our CE approval by (leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company) SGS and technicians who can commission our larger machines, we know we’ve got a great product range and service package. It’s just a matter of making people aware of us.

“We’ve also recently added 1,600 mm field equipment and 1,200 mm workshop machines to our range, which are already in use in Brisbane, Perth and in Germany so far.”

Manufactured at the factory in the Chinese city of Wuxi (near Shanghai), Worldpoly butt welding equipment, workshop machines and pipe saws are CE approved by SGS and come with a comprehensive 12 month international warranty (parts supplied direct by express courier). Satisfied clients include important players in the mining industry and major international pipe and fittings manufacturers.
