The ASTT is once again contemplating taking out exhibition space at the Trenchless Asia 2006 Conference in Shanghai, China from 7 – 9 March 2006 as we did in 2004. This space will be made available at a heavily discounted rate, which the ASTT has been able to negotiate with the Conference organisers, Westrade.
It is our intention to make this exhibition space available to ASTT members who may wish to promote their business in China. It is also a wonderful opportunity for those
seeking business development opportunities in this part of the world to go and see first hand what China has to offer.
In order to secure the discounted rate for ASTT members, Westrade has agreed to offer the following. ASTT will once again be acting as the “Australasian Agent” for Trenchless Asia 2006 and the ASTT will reimburse 10 per cent of the total exhibition fee paid to Westrade in accordance with the published rates. This will be reimbursed once the ASTT receives its agent’s commission from Westrade.
The published rates are $US380 per square metre for a shell scheme and $US350 per sq m for open space. All Exhibition shell and space costs are to be paid directly to Westrade. The minimum space only
requirement is 20 sq m. The minimum booth size shall be 9 square m and will include the following: modular wall and fascia system, white wall panels, grey carpet, name panel in English and Mandarin, electrical package with three spotlights and one 13amp/220 volt single phase socket, and furniture package of one table with four chairs.
Insurance, shipping and mechanica handling/lifting are not included in the booth price.
Under the payment terms, 50 per cent of the total stand costs are payable within 14 days of receiving the organisers contract and the second 50 per cent is payable by 6 January 2006.
To be eligible for the 10 per cent reimbursement, exhibitors MUST exhibit within the Australasian exhibition designated area.
The ASTT in consultation with our magazine publishers, Pipeline Publications Australia, is also considering producing the March 2006 issue of Trenchless Australasia in English as well as Chinese for distribution at Trenchless Asia. To take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, you are requested to liaise directly with Chris Bland via e-mail: cbland@pipepubs.com.au
If your company wishes to be part of the Australasian contingent and agrees with the terms listed above, then please let me know via e-mail jeffpace@astt.com.au before November 4.
Additional information can be obtained by reviewing the Conference website, http://www.westrade.co.uk or you can contact me.
The ASTT hopes that several members will take up this opportunity and I look forward to being with you at Shanghai next year.
