The low pressure reticulated sewerage scheme will require a 35 km pipeline to transfer wastewater to Dutson Downs for treatment and disposal. This will include a road crossing of 20-50 m which Gippsland Water says will most likely be installed underground.
Contract tenders for the project are expected to be released within 12-18 months with construction set to commence in 2012.
