The first contract is the company’s appointment to the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Program Alliance in conjunction with Murrumbidgee Irrigation. The second is a contract to construct vital new infrastructure as part of the Hoxton Park Recycled Water Scheme on behalf of Sydney Water.
The Murrumbidgee Irrigation Program Alliance, comprising John Holland, Murrumbidgee Irrigation, GHD and United Group, will undertake an irrigation modernisation program in southern central New South Wales. Works will include the delivery of irrigation pipeline projects to replace open channel water supply systems and the incorporation of an integrated water delivery system.
The Hoxton Park Recycled Water Scheme will provide recycled water to approximately 14,000 homes in the south-west of Sydney.
Stage One works will include the design and construction of a water recycling plant and pumping station at the existing Glenfield wastewater treatment plant and the design and construction of a recycled water reservoir at Edmondson Park.
The Murrumbidgee Irrigation Program Alliance will commence work in January 2011 and is expecting to complete works in 2016.
Stage One of the Hoxton Park Recycled Water Scheme will commence in the first half of 2011 and is expected to be completed in 2013.
