Landfall delays at Gorgon

The company said that drilling at the project was now forecast to commence at the end of January 2011.

Meanwhile, AJ Lucas has advised that its operating cash flow for the six-month period to 31 December 2010 has been negatively impacted by the recent floods in Queensland, as well as sparked delays in approvals for the commencement of other infrastructure projects.

Construction on the Gorgon LNG Development, on the central-east coast of Barrow Island, Western Australia began in December 2009. The construction of the project is expected to take a total of five years, with first gas is due in 2014. Overall, there is planned to be three 5 MMt/a LNG trains to be located at the site.

The development is operated by Chevron in a joint venture with ExxonMobil and Shell.
