This project will rehabilitate a deteriorated sewer main in Indooroopilly to improve its reliability and extend its operational life by 50 years.
The replacement works will be carried out on a sewer line that lies beneath the bicycle route next to Indooroopilly railway line, and extends southwards towards Jack Pesch Bridge.
Construction will involve relining a 140 m long pipe under the bicycle route, replacing and realigning 130 m of connecting pipe on Queensland Rail property, and microtunnelling under the railway tracks.
Construction commences in early October 2012, and will take six months to complete, weather permitting.
