About the speaker
Luis LeÌ_n is CDM Smith’s Regional Conveyance Market Leader for the Western United States and Latin America, and a Senior Project Manager. He has over 28 years of engineering and management experience in the areas of master planning, feasibility studies, design (plans, specifications and estimates), permitting, and construction management of infrastructure projects. These projects have included wastewater collection systems, water distribution facilities, storm drainage, transportation systems and land development.
Mr LeÌ_n has particular expertise in pipeline design and rehabilitation using innovative applications of trenchless technologies, as well as in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit compliance.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from Northrop University, Los Angeles, California (1985) and is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He is a registered professional civil engineer in California (1992), Nevada (1998) and Washington (2009) and holds certifications as Master Trainer and User in the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program, Manhole Assessment Certification Program and Lateral Assessment Certification Program; and Certified Inspector for Cured-In-Place Pipe Installation under the NASSCO Inspector Training and Certification Program.
