About the speaker
Sudipta Basu has over 35 years’ experience in various types of water and wastewater engineering projects, spanning six countries.
For the past 20 years he has been working with Sydney Water, currently as Principal Engineer in the Engineering and Environmental Services Group. His involvement with Trenchless Technology dates back to the early 1990s when Sydney Water trialled various technologies and developed relevant specifications.
He has been involved in many facets of non-pressure pipeline renewal projects, beginning with investigation through to design and management of implementation. His responsibilities have included product and performance assessment, and maintenance of technical specifications.
Prior to joining Sydney Water he worked for international engineering consultants.
He holds a first class Honours degree in Civil Engineering and two postgraduate degrees in the field of Waste Management and Geotech-Transportation Engineering.
