The ASTT and ISTT’s annual event for 2013 kicked off on Sunday 1 September with an Oktoberfest-styled exhibition opening. The trenchless event of the year kicked off with a bang as delegates enjoyed a “÷beer and bratwurst’ themed exhibition opening, sponsored by HOBAS.
ASTT Chairman Trevor Gosatti commented “No-Dig Down Under promises to be a truly spectacular event for the trenchless industry, bringing together delegates from all over the world to discuss trenchless innovations and view the latest equipment.”
Day one of the conference saw delegates engage in a variety of technical sessions, and a highlight of the day was the Vermeer-sponsored cruise on the iconic Sydney Harbour, which provided ample networking opportunities.
The technical program throughout the conference featured a wide variety of topics, including rehabilitation design and case study sessions, and sessions dedicated to techniques and materials, and trenchless equipment.
On Tuesday night delegates attended the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony for the ASTT’s night-of-nights.
