New appointment for pipeline construction company

Murphy Pipe and Civil has appointed former SunWater Infrastructure Development General Manager Mark Browne.

Mr Browne departed the Government-owned entity last month to rejoin the corporate world after six years at the helm of SunWater’s multi-million dollar portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Managing Director Jim Campbell said he was confident Mr Browne’s role as General Manager of Project Development would further strengthen Murphy Pipe and Civil’s growing executive management team and underpin the company’s plans for the future.

Murphy Pipe and Civil has undergone swift transformation from a start-up venture in 2006 to a major player in the steel and coal seam gas pipeline sector, and will take advantage of Mr Browne’s 25-year project delivery career with ABB Australia, Tenix Alliance and Alinta.
The appointment will also enable the company to tap into Mr Browne’s extensive experience as Chief Strategist and Business Development Manager for Boeing Australia and Business Development Manager for Areva Transmission and Distribution.
