New Zealand Councillor Steve Apeldoorn was newly elected Vice President (VP), taking over for former VP Andris Krumins during the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Mr Apeldoorn has been the NZ Councillor for the ASTT since 2009. The current ASTT structure for 2015-16 is now confirmed as follows:
Western Australia: Trevor Gosatti
Victoria: Chris Frangos
South Australia: Chris Neate
New South Wales: Nabil Issa
Tasmania: Vacant
Queensland: Ben Crosby
Northern Territory: Peter Lockett
New Zealand: Steve Apeldoorn
Continuing on in their positions are ASTT President Trevor Gosatti and Secretary Jeff Pace, both re-elected. Mr Krumins has now retired from his ASTT Councillor duties, a position he held since 1994.
During his time as VP Mr Krumins witnessed the ASTT grow and contributed to the promotion of Trenchless Technology across Queensland. Ben Crosby, Managing Director of Bamser, will replace Mr Krumins in the ASTT.
The South Australia (SA) ASTT seat also changed hands following the departure of Tim Bartholomaeus of SA Water. Tim was replaced by SA/NT Manager for Ditch Witch Australia Chris Neate.
This year’s ASTT AGM also coincided with the Australian Water Association’s Ozwater 2014 event, which highlighted the advantages of trenchless techniques.
