Rob Carr Pty. Ltd.
It was personally pleasing to see recently the announced planned acquisition of Rob Carr to large construction company, Seymour Whyte.
I recall the formative years of Rob Carr in Western Australia and witnessed the substantial growth of this company.
It gives me great pleasure to see an innovative operator like Rob take his company to become a valuable and sought after trenchless industry business.
It’s a great example of the opportunities in the trenchless sector for business operators, who work hard and go on to reap the rewards of their success.
Budget uncertainties affect capital works planning
Recent budget announcements by both the Western Australia government and the Federal government, have thrown some uncertainties over planned infrastructure projects in Western Australia that include Trenchless Technology components.
Whilst projects may not be cancelled, there are likely delays or postponing of projects whilst funding is determined.
Asset owners such as the Water Corporation, Main Roads of Western Australia, local governments and Western Power will all be affected and the industry is keen to see how works will be programmed going forward.
