Pipe rehabilitation specialist acquired

Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure completed the purchase of Kembla Watertech on 10 October 2014. The business will now be known as Abergeldie Watertech. Abergeldie Watertech has been operating the Kembla Watertech business under a licence arrangement since 8 September 2014.

Abergeldie specialises in the delivery of infrastructure across eastern Australia, and with the acquisition of Kembla Watertech has added another complex infrastructure capability, the relining of existing sewer and stormwater pipelines. Abergeldie Watertech intends to add the relining of existing watermains to its capabilities in the very near future, Managing Director Michael Boyle said.

With offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, Townsville and Canberra, the group has now added an additional office in Melbourne.

Mr Boyle stated: “Today we welcome a hundred experienced and dedicated, formerly Kembla Watertech people, into the Abergeldie family.

Abergeldie Watertech will comprise all the people, all the technology and all the specialist equipment of Kembla Watertech but now supported by all the resources of Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure. Abergeldie is aiming to support the Abergeldie Watertech team as it makes what was a highly regarded business even better. We are sure that will be good for Abergeldie and for water authorities and other pipe asset owners throughout Australia.”
