A clean sweep

Since 1987 Spoutvac Australia has manufactured and delivered truck-based sewer and drain cleaning units. To this day, the company has delivered more than 600 units to customers in Australia and abroad. From the Spoutvac manufacturing plant in Bendigo, Victoria, the company currently has the capacity to manufacture and deliver 32-35 units per year.

Fundamental changes in the company’s structure has led the way for a refocus of company values, Group General Manager Andrew Mollison said.

“The tough changes we as a company have gone through over the last few years have left us strengthened, with a clear picture of what our core values are.

“I’m proud of my loyal employees’ efforts to work towards our common goal of being the preferred supplier in Australia,” Mr Mollison said.

Through standardisation of the company, tailored design solutions for customers with unique requirements are now possible. This process has also enabled Spoutvac to be competitive in a market with a growing trend of importing European products for a low cost.

Component standardisation has had a profound effect on the company’s ability to provide efficient and reliable backup services to its customers, according to Spoutvac Service Support Manager Shayne McDonald.

“By only using quality components such as Bosch Rexroth hydraulics, Nash and Hibon vacuum pumps, Pratissoli and Hammelman high pressure jetting pumps, and IFM CAN Bus systems, we can guarantee parts and backup Australia-wide,” Mr McDonald said.

Spoutvac is currently building demonstration units of the company’s most popular models, set to tour the country with their enthusiastic sales team over the coming months.

In addition to the company’s own products, the team will also demonstrate the Kroll GmbH water recycling combinations units, which Spoutvac is the sole distributor for.

“We really see the fact that we are able to invest resources in establishing a fleet of designated demonstration units as a huge benefit to our customers, as they are then able to try out the unit within its specific application before making the decision to purchase,” said Technical Sales Engineer Morten Brandt Jensen.
