The ASTT is now accepting nominations for the ASTT Awards, including the prestigious Project of the Year. Nominations for outstanding trenchless industry people, projects and new technologies for the 2015 ASTT awards will close 31 July 2015 – don’t miss this opportunity to nominate the best of the best in our industry.

The ASTT Awards recognise the cream of Trenchless Technology in Australasia and provides an ideal opportunity to promote individuals and companies active in the trenchless sector and the great work that they do.

  • Person of the Year
  • Young Person of the Year
  • Project of the Year – New installation
  • Project of the Year – Rehabilitation
  • New Technology – Machine, Tool, Material, System or Technique

CRITERIA

PROJECT OF THE YEAR
You can nominate a project that you have been involved in or any other project you are aware of, provided it has been completed in Australasia. Please give a physical description of project, the location, the owner, engineer, contractor, and date completed as well as a description of why the project is being nominated.

Projects will be judged on: innovation in concept, novelty of technology, environmental benefit, occupational health and safety benefit, as well as overall presentation.

Projects of the year will be automatically nominated for the 2015 ISTT Awards, which will be presented in Istanbul, Turkey, later in the year.

PERSON OF THE YEAR

You can nominate an individual who has made major and sustained contributions to the trenchless industry in any area of activity within the industry. The award recognises a contribution over and above the call of duty. It does not recognise contributions to a specific company; rather to the whole industry.

YOUNG PERSON OF THE YEAR

This award also recognises major contributions to the industry, but the nominee must be aged under 40 as at 1 September 2015.

NEW TECHNOLOGY

To qualify for the New Technology Award, the technology in question should demonstrate a practical development of trenchless systems or equipment the results in benefits such as improved economy, accuracy, speed of drive or replacement, ability to overcome difficult installations, etc.

Entries should be no more than 800 words, excluding any images or appendices, and presented in word or PDF format. Don’t forget to provide your own details too. You may be contacted if more information is needed to process the nomination.
