nbn set for completion by 2020

Final approval was granted for a deal between nbn and Telstra, which will see nbn progressively take ownership of Telstra’s copper and Hybrid Fibre Coaxial cable assets.

The deal’s conclusion comes as nbn is poised to undertake the next stage of the company’s network rollout.

Announced in mid-June, the next rollout phase encompasses more than 430,000 premises across Australia, including Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Devonport and Evandale in Tasmania, and Mornington and Torquay in Victoria.
