The Legacy Way Tunnel is now open and we are due to see some new large projects coming online – the Second Toowoomba Range Crossing, Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade, Adarni and the Arrow Bowen Gas Projects (upstream and midstream).
It is thought that these new projects will need trenchless support to achieve their respective scopes.
This work, the NBN and the combination of the renewals and new installation of energy and utility services should see our industry remaining busy.
The ASTT has finalised the training agreement with the NASTT to deliver three trenchless courses here in Australia.
It is planned to hold the first of these courses at No-Dig 2015 on the Gold Coast. I will be chairing the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) course along with Dr Sam Ariaratnam.
The course should greatly interest clients, inspectors, contractors engineers, consultant engineers and suppliers in the HDD industry.
The next QLD ASTT Presentation and Networking Night is being held on 26 August 2015.
Please watch out for the flyer detailing the night and please contact me if you would like to speak, sponsor and/or attend on {encode=”bencrosby@bamser.com.au” title=”bencrosby@bamser.com.au”}
The 2015 No-Dig conference promotion lunch was held by GSP on 25 June, which included previews of conference papers.
