Air scouring improves water quality in QLD

The council has seen a sharp drop in complaint about water quality since the cleaning program commenced in 2012.

Operations Manager Wayne Saldumbide said “Last month Council received only three complaints, so our strategy is having a positive effect on the quality of our water.”

In response to the positive results to date, the council has commissioned four new bores on Rossiters Hill in order to continue air scouring on water mains throughout the region.

Works will be conducted from 9 am – 3 pm, Tuesday – Thursday to minimise disruptions for local residents and businesses.
