The Gold Coast’s No Dig was a fantastic event; well patronised and informative on all levels. At the conference the ASTT co-located good practice training courses on horizontal directional drilling, new installations and cured-in-place pipe. The feedback from attendees has been positive. I’d like to extend a special thanks to our media and conference partner Great Southern Press for the team’s efforts and dedication in making the conference and the training sessions a success.
From a Queensland perspective the timing of the No-Dig conference caused us to postpone our usual quarterly Trenchless Networking and Presentation Night. In light of this, our next event was rescheduled for 2 December 2015. Contact me if you wish to sponsor, speak or attend any upcoming QLD forums, bencrosby@bamser.com.au.
Looking at trenchless works in Queensland, as far as the mega projects go, I can report that the following projects are now approved or up and running and they will need help from our industry: 2nd Toowoomba Range Crossing, Kingsford Smith Dr Upgrade, Gateway Upgrade North, Adarni Coal Project, Stage 2 of the Gold Coast Light Rail, the Arrow Bowen Gas Projects (Upstream and Midstream) and BAC’s New Parallel Runway.
In and around our state there is medium to high activity in the rehabilitation and new installation space and I would suggest that you keep abreast of the procurement communication portals.
