Wastewater improvements underway in WA
WA Water Corporation has commenced an AU$3.5 million improvement program to extend the life of wastewater infrastructure in Perth’s western suburbs.
The state government project will cover 4.2 km of the wastewater network and is expected to add 50 years to the serviceable life of the vital infrastructure.
Water Minister Mia Davies said “About 4.2 km of wastewater pipes along a number of streets in Cottesloe, Mosman Park and Peppermint Grove will be refurbished in different stages over the next five months.”
No-dig relining will play a major part in delivering the rehabilitation project, aligning with WA Water Corporation’s traditional use of trenchless over open-cut methods.
