New CEO for ADIA

ADIA has appointed Peter Hall to officially start as CEO Friday 6 May 2016.

An announcement from ADIA said “We are delighted to welcome Peter who has 30 years’ knowledge and experience in the drilling industry.”

Peter joins ADIA from Boart Longyear, where he obtained an in-depth knowledge of the exploration sector from both the drilling services and product sales side of the business.

His last two roles were in the drilling services division as the After Market & Fleet Services Manager and Regional Business Development Manager.

Peter has worked extensively through Australia and the Asia Pacific region including China, Indonesia, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea (PNG), New Zealand and India.

Peter has spent a lot of time on drilling rigs throughout his career, and met many ADIA members, so he has an excellent understanding of the drilling industry.

The ADIA says “Peter is looking forward to meeting more members when he takes up the reins from May.

“We’re sure the drilling industry will join us in extending a warm welcome to Peter and assist him to settle into the CEO role.”

ADIA thanked outgoing CEO Nigel Carpenter for his service to the organisation. He starts as the CEO of SkillsDMC on Friday 6 May 2016.
