WSP tunnel engineer wins project management award

Ms McWilliam is currently leading the WSP’s technical advisory team for the preferred alignment and station arrangements on the Sydney Metro City and Southwest.

In her role as design manager she is responsible for overseeing the engineering, rail infrastructure and architectural design support for the reference design, tender documentation and final business case.

Another WSP employee Penny Campbell, the Structural Engineer for Transport, was also recognised for her work in the industry, receiving a merit in the ‘Future Leaders’ award category.

WSP Australia and New Zealand President and CEO, Guy Templeton said “The awards provide the opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements and industry advancement of our women and reward their enthusiasm, skill and commitment.

“I am particularly pleased that Samantha has been recognised, as her drive for excellence has made her a highly skilled, technical leader in her field. We are delighted to see Samantha and Penny recognised by their peers.”

The NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 1995 to promote and improve the advancement of women in the construction industry.

The organisation provides a forum for its members to meet and exchange information, ideas and solutions and offers its members an opportunity to expand personal and business networks, maintain awareness of industry developments, improve skills and knowledge, and make a contribution to other women in the industry.
