Utility location

Send us your pictures

A subcontractor on the project has been using non-destructive digging (NDD) technology, including products which utilise geographic information systems (GIS), and vacuum excavation to locate utility lines and other obstacles ahead of a horizontal directional drilling (HDD) machine.

The image shows two utility services, crossing at a 90° angle, with only centimetres separating them horizontally.

Have you spotted an interesting utility set up on site or out on the street? Send us your photos for your chance to be featured in an upcoming Utility Location e-newsletter and in the upcoming edition of Trenchless Australasia magazine.
