CIMIC appoints Deputy CEO

Mr Wright, a civil engineer who joined CIMIC in 1998, has previously served as the company’s Mining and Mineral Processing Executive and Thiess Managing Director, as well as in roles managing its construction, tunnelling and services teams.

“Michael has almost 20 years’ experience at CIMIC, having held leadership positions across the group, in Australia and Asia,” said CIMIC CEO Adolfo Valderas.

“During his career, Michael has gained extensive expertise in engineering, construction, tunnelling, industrial and environmental services, telecommunications, utilities and mining.

“Most recently, he successfully built on our company’s competitive strength in the resources sector, expanding and diversifying our mining operations into new commodities and geographies.
