Registrations still available for final NZ Technical Forums Roadshow of 2017

Registrations have opened for the final ASTT New Zealand Technical Forums Roadshow for 2017, taking place in Auckland and Christchurch on 7-8 November.

The popular forums feature educational presentations from industry experts and an opportunity to network with colleagues and potential clients.

The New Zealand Technical Forums Roadshow will visit Auckland on 7 November at The Heritage Hotel, and Christchurch on 8 November at the Commodore Airport Hotel.

The forums are sponsored by PipeWorks and Iplex Pipelines New Zealand.

Both forums will include an opening address by ASTT New Zealand Councillor Blair Telfer, and will include breakfast, served from 7.30am, and presentations beginning at 8am.

The Auckland forum will feature a presentation by Watercare Design Manager Stephen Grace who will discuss the Central Interceptor Project, a new 4.5 m diameter wastewater tunnel running 13 km between Western Springs and the Mangere wastewater treatment plant which is anticipated to use an earth pressure balance (EPB) tunnel boring machine (TBM).

Humes’ Husham Issa will also be speaking at the Auckland forum.

At the Christchurch forum, Utility Location Services Senior Utility Surveyor Innes Fisher will discuss recent high profile utility strikes and how they should impact New Zealand’s national approach to preventing underground utility damage.

Aqua Pipe Civil Engineer Leigh John will also be speaking about pressure pipe relining at Christchurch.

Asia Pacific Pure Technologies Regional Director Hugh Chapman will be speaking at both forums, discussing pressure pipeline condition assessment techniques and case studies to provide insight into management, risk analysis, condition assessment of critical metallic pressure pipelines.

Redzone’s Marc Ciochetto and Interflow Special Projects and Business Development Manager Martin Spies will also be presenting in both Auckland and Christchurch.

Registration costs for the Technical Forums Roadshows are NZ$75 for ASTT members and NZ$95 for non-members, including GST.

The Victorian forum is scheduled for 23 November in Melbourne and will be sponsored by the generosity of Ditch WitchPrimus LineThe Drain Man and ITS PipeTech.

The NSW event will take place on 30 November and is sponsored by Ditch Witch, The Drain Man and Qenos.
