According to DBYD, 4,285 damage reports have been provided by its members so far in 2017, taking the historical total of IDRS reports to more than 117,000.
DBYD said a recent update to its system meant that, while no obvious signs of change should appear evident to a user, the IDRS architecture had been flattened and new security features have been added to enable additional functionality and security moving forwards.
It encouraged all asset owners to contribute to helping DBYD build a national database of damage incidents.
The incident data, which is provided by DBYD members, is accessible only to themselves (and DBYD) with only generic, non-identifiable category data used for the purposes of promoting awareness and better damage prevention outcomes.
