Trenchless Australasia introduces new Editorial Board

Established in 2015, the Trenchless Australasia Editorial Board comprises a number of industry professionals who offer insight and technical expertise on major projects in the sector.

The Editorial Board members draw on their individual expertise to provide guidance on editorial features and articles, with a view to providing readers with the most relevant, timely and useful information and articles to help the industry grow.

The board for the next FY once again includes representatives from some of Australia’s largest water utilities, as well as a leading trenchless consultant in New Zealand.

Mike Stokes
Reliability Delivery Manager, South East Water

Mike Stokes has been involved in the water and utility sector in the UK and Australia for more than 25 years, specialising in the trenchless rehabilitation of water and sewer mains as a contractor and client. Since relocating to Australia in 2012, he has delivered South East Water’s 60 km per annum renewals program, using through mostly trenchless techniques, as well as the Peninsula Eco pressure sewer project, which included the installation of more than 230 km of pressure sewers by horizontal directional drilling.

Robert Loncar
Lead Civil Engineer – Integrated System Planning, Sydney Water

Robert Loncar has more than 25 years of experience in the water industry. He has worked across the entire asset life cycle, including investigation, planning, design, construction, and operation and maintenance. In the past 10 years, Robert has been extensively involved with trenchless technologies, including microtunnelling and horizontal directional drilling for construction of new pipelines, and various methods for rehabilitation of existing pipelines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, is currently Lead Engineer (Civil) of Integrated System Planning at Sydney Water.

Tim Lancaster
Partner, Alta Consulting

Tim Lancaster has worked across a range of roles in the construction industry over the last 15 years: from commercial and cost related, to operational management. His experience sits across a range of disciplines including pipejacking, tunnelling, pipelines, roads, earthworks and general heavy civil infrastructure. He has previously worked for main contractors and subcontractors in the civil market, but is currently a Partner at Alta Consulting providing constructability advice, cost estimation and project delivery services, particularly in the trenchless market.
