Mackay Regional Council has awarded Interflow a significant relining and inspection contract for sewer assets in Mackay and Sarina, Queensland.
Interflow was awarded the sewer relining and CCTV inspection contract by Mackay Regional Council as part of its commitment to meeting standards of service to its customer and long-term asset management program.
Interflow will use the patented SPR™ EX-Expanda Spiral Wound Pipe to renew more than 12 km of sewers and complete CCTV condition assessment of more than 20 km of assets.
Expanda can be installed in a range of pipes materials, including concrete, brick, vitrified clay, asbestos cement or cast iron, which makes it a versatile choice for pipeline renewal.
The spirally wound PVC liner is installed while the sewer system is in operation and restores the structural integrity, reliability and efficiency of ageing sewer and gravity pipelines with diameters from 150 mm to 1,200 mm.
“This is an exciting project for our Queensland team as it is in line with why we exist, which is to solve our customers’ problems,” said Interflow Operations Manager – Queensland Frank Phillips.
