Infrastructure conference to explore future of NSW

NDDU

Taking place on 21–22 November at the Sydney International Convention Centre, the event has lined-up industry leaders to present throughout the conference, including Infrastructure NSW CEO Jim Betts and Sydney Motorway Corporation CEO Dennis Cliché.

In the coming years, the state will inject more than AU$14 billion into state transport infrastructure in order to properly accommodate development, including Sydney Motorway Corporation’s WestConnex.

The motorway, which will lead to the new Badgerys Creek airport, will form part of Sydney’s integrated transport plan, designed to ease congestion in the city while creating a connected community.

The project is approaching its halfway point in 2019, with WestConnex expected to be delivered by 2024.

WSA Co CEO Graham Millett will also speak at the conference, exploring the construction of the new airport.

Located in western Sydney, the project recently broke ground, with construction expected to begin next year and be completed by 2026, providing thousands of residents in the area increased transport and job opportunities.

Mr Millett will discuss the airports position as a pillar of Western Sydney’s growth area, covering the commercial, residential and cultural opportunities it will bring to the state.

The conference will also discuss A Metropolis of Three Cities, which aims to plan for the current and future needs of the Greater Sydney region.
