Victorian utility welcomes new contractors

Bothar Boring & Tunnelling

The utility awarded Comdain Infrastructure and Interflow contracts for the program, which involves replacing and rehabilitating sections of South East Water’s 25,700 km network of pipelines.

Interflow will undertake a challenging renewal on the busy Main Street in Mornington.

Comdain will begin by working on the first major planned water main renewal, replacing one of the oldest mains in the network on Bay Street, Port Melbourne, commencing in July 2019.

According to South East Water, Comdain and Interflow demonstrated significant innovation and collaboration to provide the best solutions for customers throughout the procurement process.

The two organisations will use their expertise and innovation to deliver renewals across the region, from suburban streets to challenging or high-density areas to make sure the projects have minimal customer impact.
