HDI Lucas, working on behalf of Fletcher Construction, is using HDD to complete a river crossing under Te Wharau Creek as part of Watercare’s Northern Interceptor Project.
After completing a 600 m pilot bore on schedule and with no incident the HDD crew has now commenced pull back of the product pipe.
“This is a testament to HDI Lucas and Fletchers who have worked collaboratively to ensure the design and implementation was meticulously planned and executed,” said HDI Lucas Executive General Manager John Stuart-Robertson.
“The team have remained acutely aware of the impact of the project on the local community and the various stakeholders, this awareness and consideration has resulted in some extremely positive feedback so far.”
