The appointment was announced by TasWater Chairman Dr Stephen Gumley, with Ms Pearson replacing the now-retired former Director Peter Lewinsky.
Dr Gumley said Ms Pearson will be a great asset to the organisation.
“Along with offering the board her experience in public sector and ASX-listed organisation, Ms Pearson brings significant understanding of governance and risk management, including through her role on the board of Westernport Water in Victoria,” he said.
Ms Pearson has been on a variety of boards and executive subcommittees in the utilities sector and said she was dedicated achieving ongoing success for TasWater.
Ms Pearson’s appointment will begin this month.
