WATCH: OSDD pull pipe on the Gold Coast

OSDD Director and Lead Driller Adrian Brock released a video of the pipe pulling, comprising  60 m of DN 355 PN16 HDPE sewer rising main.

“We were contending with tidal changes and ground water due to the bores proximity to Currumbin Creek and difficulties associated with drilling in sand,” said Mr Brock.

“[We] were required to drill under a proposed DN 1500 stormwater at depths of 4.2 m and crossed under a live, asbestos DN 350 sewer rising main.”

OSDD specialises in horizontal directional drilling and underground boring services for the installation of conduits for water, gas, power and telecommunications.

The company is based on the Gold Coast and services the Queensland area.
