Description: Zinfra is requesting suitably qualified Contractors to provide a price for the Construction of a 6.5 km Secondary Main along Menangle Rd Campbelltown. The SOW includes:

  • Installation of approximately 6.5 km of DN200 secondary main via a combination of pipe laying methods such as direct open cut trench lay, case and uncased bores and horizontal directional drilling;
  • Tie-in to existing DN100 with installation of a DN100xDN100 Williamson 3-way tee, DN100 valve and DN100xDN200 concentric reducer near the corner of Therry Road and Gilchrist Drive;
  • Installation of a 1xDN200 equal tee, DN200xDN100 concentric reducer and DN100 valve at the end of the secondary main for the offtake to the new Menangle Park estate; and
  • Installation of associated CP system.

Ohakea Rural water supply 125 mm and 63 mm reticulation network

Description: MDC is delivering a new water scheme that will provide drinking water to the RNZAF Base at Ohakea and surrounding areas where PFAS has contaminated existing groundwater sources.

This contract involves the construction of ~5000 m of 125 mm watermain, and ~9000 m of 63 mm watermain, (polyethylene pipe, outside diameter) with associated fittings and valves etc. Construction is all located within MDC road reserve.

The alignment has been designed for mole ploughing, with some directional drilling as shown on the tender drawings. However, the method(s) of construction are to be nominated by tenderers, and may include: conventional trenching, drilling, mole ploughing, chain trenching. In addition to the watermain described a 41.3 mm x 30.4 mm fibreoptic conduit will be installed along the same alignment.

The alignment provided on the tender drawings may be varied by agreement. Tenders should highlight any proposed alignment changes in their tender submission.

The contract work involves all construction and reinstatement, and includes testing and sterilisation. All polyethylene pipe for the contract works will be supplied by the principal. All fittings and valves etc. are to be supplied by the tenderer, in accordance with the tender drawings and schedule.

MDC has applied for and obtained resource consent for earthworks. The conditions of the earthworks consent form part of the requirements of the contract works.
