The John Holland Gamuda Joint Venture (JV), Bouygues Construction Australia, and Acciona Construction Australia are all in contention to deliver 10 km of twin railway tunnels servicing Greater Western Sydney and the new Western Sydney International Airport.
The contract will also include the associated excavations of station boxes, with the full contract to be awarded by the end of 2021.
The NSW Government expects the first of four large tunnel boring machines (TBMs) to be in the ground by mid-2023.
