The family line

M. Tucker & Sons is a proud family business that is heavily sought after in the sewer pipe relining industry and a trusted provider of various other trenchless and civil solutions.

Established in 1989, M. Tucker & Sons is a civil and trenchless drainage specialist that supplies a holistic service

in the utilities and wastewater space, with technological, safety and environmental priorities being the driver towards the company’s reliable reputation.

Based in Victoria, M. Tucker & Sons’ clients range from councils across the nation, large organisations in various states to small local businesses within the construction and water industry sector.

Relining services

M. Tucker & Sons Managing Director Brendan Tucker said the company’s comprehensive and cost-effective relining solutions help to “resolve most common issues and problems that customers may experience throughout a pipe system and leave them with unbeatable and lasting results”.

Pipe relining does not require costly and time-consuming excavation work, which allows the job to be completed much faster and with reduced impact or damage to the surrounding area or property compared to non-trenchless rehabilitation methods.

Along with traditional relining services, M. Tucker & Sons has adopted the capability to offer UV pipe relining among its available liner installation solutions.

“Similar to our patching that we are well known for, we can renew the drain for the full extent manhole to manhole using UV lining,” said Mr Tucker.

“The lining system we use is a highly engineered fibre glass liner, cured with UV light. Each liner is designed to suit its individual or customer requirement.”

The liner M. Tucker & Sons uses is produced in accordance with monitored quality guidelines and is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.

As a result of the environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production processes, the requirements of the energy management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2005 are met.

The liners can be produced to rehabilitate conduits from 150 to 1,800 mm and can accommodate dimension changes, including circular, oviform and box culvert profiles as well as other custom applications as required.

The system is adaptable to almost any scenario in stormwater or sewer and is low impact to the surrounding environment.

Mr Tucker said along with the team’s UV relining offerings, the company can also complete lateral reinstatements using robotic cutters and UV cured fibreglass tophats in 150 to 600 mm mains.

“At M. Tucker & Sons we have been a sought-after name in pipeline rehabilitation and drainage solutions across Melbourne for more than 30 years,” said Mr Tucker.

“Our team works hard to provide each and every one of our valued customers with the standards of assistance and workmanship that have become synonymous with our name.

“Our drain relining services will help to prevent leaks and root intrusion for years to come, meaning our customers can be confident they are investing in a proven and professional service.”
