The panel will be for the period of 1 October 2021 to 30 June 2023, with an option to extend for 12 months. Tenders close at 3pm on Friday 27 August 2021. Marinus Link – Pre-Qualification – HVDC Cable Systems (Submarine and Land)

Description: The purpose of this pre-qualification process is to establish and shortlist those participants who have demonstrated their capability to execute works in accordance with the owner’s requirements for the HVDC cable systems required for Marinus Link. The scope of work includes (but is not limited to): design, manufacture, factory acceptance testing, transportation, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of:

  • HVDC submarine cables across Bass Strait, including optical fibre cable and land fall horizontal directional drilling (Tasmania and Victoria); and
  • HVDC land cables, excluding civil trenching and land horizontal directional drilling (Victoria only).Participants are invited to seek HVDC Cable System Pre-Qualification for:
  • HVDC Submarine Cables
  • HVDC Land Cables
  • Both HVDC Submarine Cables and HVDC Land Cables

Jansz-Io Compression – Barrow Island Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Shore Crossing

Description: Contractor will provide HDD for the installation of subsea power umbilical cable including site establishment and rehabilitation. Work is situated on BWI, an A class nature reserve with strict quarantine requirements. Scope of work includes (but is not limited to):

  1. Provision of HDD equipment including setup and preparation;
  2. Recommissioning of an existing water winning well to determine suitability for water supply for drilling operations, including ream out and examination of casing in place. If recommissioning of existing water winning well is determined to be unsuitable a temporary water winning supply near shore with a submersible pump is to be installed;
  3. Shore crossing HDD and installation of casings to 2-4 boreholes, up to 600 m long, with a 20 inches casing and hole diameter of 28 inches, exit in 12 m of water;
  4. Grouting, capping, plugging of casing for future cable pull;
  5. Demobilisation of temporary water winning source;
  6. Quarantine compliance for equipment and ongoing operations. 

Fernside Pressure Sewer Laterals
