Supply & Construction of Charters Towers Rd Replacement Water Mains (Package B & C)

Description: Townsville City Council is undertaking the replacement of several old water mains throughout the city. One of these mains is the DN400 Cast Iron (CI) water main along Charters Towers Rd and Ross River Rd. Another is the DN300 CI and DN225 CI water main on the eastern side of Charters Towers Rd and southern side of Ross River Rd. To facilitate the decommissioning these existing old mains (along with a number of other old AC reticulation main), new pipelines are to be constructed along the footpaths of Charters Towers Rd and Ross River Road in Hyde Park, Hermit Park and Mundingburra.

Colac Pipeline Upgrade Sections 19,20,21, 23 and 25i

Description: Barwon Water is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractor for the supply and construction of approximately 5km (Sections 19,20,21 & 25i (Stage 1) and 23 (Stage 2)) of the Colac Pipeline Upgrade and all associated works. The majority of these works occur in the Great Otway National Park, with some works in the Otway State Forest and Colac Otway Shire road reserve. Minimisation of environmental impact and vegetation removal is critical to this project throughout construction. To aid this, works are to be contained within a constrained corridor with extensive use of no-go zones for protection. All construction is to be via open-cut and fill with trench widths to be minimised while still meeting the appropriate standards. Battering/benching will only be acceptable in areas where there is no impact to vegetation or incursion into Tree Protection Zones.
