The awards will be presented to the winners at the ASTT Gala Dinner and Awards Evening on Thursday 10 March, as part of the No-Dig Down Under 2022 Conference.
Nominations can be made for the following awards:
Rehabilitation Project of the Year
This award recognises innovation, advancements in technology, environmental benefits and occupational health and safety benefits in rehabilitation projects utilising trenchless technology.
Nomination criteria graded on a scale of 1 to 5:
- Innovative concept – Previously untried
- New technology – Not previously used
- Environmental and workplace health and safety benefits
- Delivery of project – Met customer requirements and offered substantial time saving
- sInnovative product – No similar product available
- Economic benefit – Substantial cost savings to the client
- Must have been commenced and completed between 1 October 2019 and 30 September 2021
New Installation Project of the Year
This award recognises innovation, advancements in technology, environmental benefits and occupational health and safety benefits in new installation projects using trenchless technology.
Nomination criteria graded on a scale of 1 to 5:
- Innovative concept – Previously untried
- New technology – Not previously used
- Environmental and workplace health and safety benefits
- Delivery of project – Met customer requirements and offered substantial time savings
- Innovative product – No similar product available
- Economic benefit – Substantial cost savings to the client
- Must have been commenced and completed between 1 October 2019 and 30 September 2021
New Technology: Machine, Tool, Material, System or Technique
This technology should demonstrate the practical development of trenchless systems or equipment that results in benefits such as improved economy, accuracy, speed of drive or replacement, ability to overcome difficult installations, or similar.
Nomination criteria graded on a scale of 1 to 5:
- Innovative product – No similar product available
- Environmental and workplace health and safety benefits
- Overall customer benefit – Met customer requirements and offered substantial time savings
- Economic benefit – Substantial cost savings to the client
Menno Henneveld ASTT Person of the Year
This award recognises an individual who has made major and sustained contributions to the trenchless industry in any area of activity within the industry.
The award will identify a contribution over and above the call of duty to grow, develop and promote the use of trenchless technology across Australasia and indeed around the world.
Nomination criteria:
- Advancing/promoting trenchless technology through publishing/presentation of technical papers or mentoring etc.
- Contribution to the ASTT (e.g. volunteered time, sponsorship etc.)
- Using innovative trenchless technology solutions to resolve complex customer issues
- Outstanding achievements within the trenchless technology industry
- Must be aged 35 or over on 1 October 2021
Young Person of the Year
This award recognises the important role that younger members of the Australasian trenchless community play in the growth of the industry.
The recipient will be someone who is engaged with the industry and the promotion of trenchless technology, and has significantly contributed to the industry over the past two years.
Nomination criteria:
- Advancing/promoting trenchless technology through publishing/presentation of technical papers or mentoring etc.
- Contribution to the ASTT (e.g. volunteered time, sponsorship etc.)Using innovative trenchless technology solutions to resolve complex customer issues
- Outstanding achievements within the trenchless technology industry
- Must be aged 35 or under on 1 October 2021
Submissions must be no longer than 500 words and meet the criteria stated for each award.
