CEA opens Brisbane mega-facility

CEA Darra facility

Leading Australian machinery distributor Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) has combined forces with its subsidiary premises to create a mega-facility in Darra, Queensland.

The new facility is located within the Connectwest Industrial Park and comprises a site area of 18,500 m2.

CEA Brisbane, as it is being referred, combines Ditch Witch CEA, JCB CEA, DYNAPAC CEA, ATLAS CEA and Komptech CEA into the one location in Darra.

CEA moved into its Darra location in November, committing $20 million to developing a state-of-the-art facility on the site.

According to the company, the reasoning behind the conglomerate was to better service a diversification of customer needs.

“This provides a site better equipped for servicing all our customers, while preparing for future growth and the broader needs of our customer base,” a spokesperson for the company said.

“The new Darra site offers better flow and service capabilities for our customers through our workshop of 3100 m2 under roof, warehouse of 1050 m2 for parts holding, including a parts/service/showroom of 1250 m2 and 10500 m2 of machinery hard stand.”

CEA has been signed as a long-term tenant for the facility, which is owned by Charter Hall and ESR Australia, with a 10-year lease.

CEA distributes and sell everything from diesel engines to forklifts across brands including JCB, Atlas Copco, Ditch Witch, Komptech and Dynapac.
